I Wish I Were a Photographer
If I were a photographer, or actually if I could take pictures at all- and the readers of this blog know better than anyone that I cannot- I would have loved to do what Christopher Herwig does. I love his pictures how he chooses his subjects.
Now he’s got two new photobooks at his website, www.herwigphoto.com.
One is on Soviet bus stops. How cool is that? Go watch the preview and if you like it, consider buying the books.
And to Christopher: our next request is Soviet tile murals.

some fantastic open spaces; great expressions and experience etched on the faces of subjects.

thanks for the link. I don’t mind hearing more baby stories, btw…The poop detail was quite interesting!

I’d have thought being a new mum would have turned you into a photographer… based on my experience with new parents!
Give it a shot anyway! There’s a little Pierre Doineau sleeping in everyone of us!

David- thanks for the link.
Asiyah- I think if I do baby stories, that will have to be a separate blog because there is just too much to say. Oh, she burped! Oh, she almost smiled but actually it’s just gas. Oh, how cute. Etc.
Beaver- Oh, I give it a shot. My failures in that sphere are innumerable… we have a lot of pictures of her but the good ones were all taken by my dear husband.

I like to gush over other people’s children so feel free to share the new baby blog, should you decide to start it.
I like to turn to friends and very seriously say, “I think my cousin’s baby is perfect, mashallah.”

Oh, I hear that J.G. un-masked himself. Isn’t it a small world, which sounds trite, but it is. So I stand by my statement.

Asiyah- I got his mail. It is an incredibly small world. 20 million people and thousands of expats in Afghanistan and here we are. We’ll all have to meet up in Tajikistan sometime. E-mail me for more.

I love photography…this was an awesome link. And you can always just add a little cute or curious note about baby at the bottom of your posts. Kill two birds with one stone.
