You Must Try This

Thanks so much to Paul for alerting me to this depressing but excellent game that all humanitarians, and all people in fact, should play.

If you want to waste time… if you want to raise awareness… or if, like me, you just like feeling humbled- go play immediately.

  1. ARGH! You made me late to work. I now have a family of 8, some chickens, and a shovel. The key is a well- gotta get a well.

  2. Hi! Thank you for adding me to your blogroll. It’s always a pleasure to meet other people “in the humanitarian business”.

I’ll keep an eye out for ya!

  3. Am I just really bad at that game or what? My family always dies. Everytime we get $100 in the bank, some warlord comes and steals it all, and someone starves to death.

Beaver- no thanks at all, thank you for blogging.

  4. I love my well and shovel! Someone offered to pay me to grow opium poppies, and I declined…was that stupid?

  6. Saw some of your posts in the forum there and then came here! opposite track!

Well, loved your sentence, “How funny that (…) people who benefit from luck assume it is due to their clever strategies and personal worthiness”… I surely understand luck, and agree totally with you - noone should do that.

But, “…and (they) try to share these (strategies) with others” - I think that it is in everyway a good thing. At least they´re trying to help… As they see things don´t always work the way it worked for them, they should see their luck. If they don´t and just stick to the “you´re not worthy then”, then That´s the problem.

Just wanted to share this view and thank you for your wonderful posts in the forum there. : ]
